They also have high stat requirements. The Claymore is nice because it has lower stat requirements, and Faith builds don't want to put too much into unnecessary stats. Greatsword and Great Axe are really best suited for Strength builds in my opinion. Go for feel and looks. Upgrades carry weapons really far and you will have no trouble finishing the game regardless of your choice. Claymore is straight up better but with higher requirements.
